When War is all you know. War becomes all you are. We once had a purpose, a goal or even a dream for this frozen wasteland. I dreamt to save this land and use it to unite all Changeling's as our new home land. But what good is a dream when a reality of violence, suffering and death is upon us. Sometimes I lay in bed at night questioning if I fight for a better future... or to better equip myself for the next fight. A world without conflict was once my dream but now when my eyes rest and I fall into slumber such a world only appears as a nightmare, for what role do I and my subjects play in a world without war. War after all is all we are.

Private military, private security, bodyguards, club bouncers. NOT bounty hunters, they are best on defensive roles.

Unique Abilities:
Bug-like dehydration ability to remove cold-water from entering their cells. Similar to the Contemplation Changeling's. Evolved to use this by withstanding the below freezing temperatures.

Wing-Shields that are very strong and have a sharp tip. They are attached to the side but can be de-attached painfully for use as ordinary wings.. They are not great flyers though.
They can manipulate objects with low melting points and form them into tools. Such items include Skilled with ice bows and arrows.

Naming System:
In essence when a Changeling receives a well-known nickname that nickname becomes their actual name. This means that there is a possibility of name changes but usually nicknames stay around for quite some time especially if the Changeling likes his or her nickname.

Hive Structure:
The Security hive is located far away from usual Yakyakistan settlements in a massive crevice. That is covered in solid ice above it concealing it from the world. Tunnels are built into the walls of the crevice where different sections of the hive are located. The hive itself has an ancient beauty to it, with stone hard walls and many monuments to the ancient pony kingdoms. Many sections of the Hive were built out of the same stone that was used in the ancient kingdoms which have now been taken by the Security hive as treasures from their successes in that region.
The crevice in completely iced over so that no Yaks accidentally stumble upon it… or Ijiraq's. To get in Security Changeling’s use their ice manipulation abilities to carve a passageway down through the solid ice and into the crevice itself. The crevice is also see through from the inside meaning that if something tries to get in guards are easily made aware and can react to it. Usually by adding extra ice to the site of digging so the diggers give up and move on. Sometimes though they send a Changeling up disguised as a Yak to convince the Yak to leave due to a fake Windigo sightings in the area.

Queen Status:
Name: Kapricia
Name Meaning: A name relating to blizzards.
Approximate Age: 600
Kapricia has a very tomboyish attitude and prefers to do her duty whilst standing.
Kapricia's attitude has stark changes to it. Usually she is serious but as soon as something good happens she is all of a sudden making jokes and laughing around with others. Then as soon as something bad happens she is swearing all over the place. However her natural attitude is stoic leader so while she does have obvious changes in her behaviour none of them are so extreme to warrant Eve's attention. I.e Happy (Laughs more often and has more snide comments), Angry (Swears more often), Tried (More hand gestures then talking), Normal (Stands tall and proud always looking like a hero… without really trying).
Kapricia prefers to lead from the home base rather then go out into the fray… too often. On rare occasions (once a year) if she is really angry or in the mood she will go out and give the Ijiraq's a run for their money but otherwise she lets her Changeling's do the fighting. Kapricia understands the need for a strong and effective leadership and does not want to interfere with her units on the ground.

Rise to Leadership:
To prove oneself worthy of courtship with the Queen one must be a part of a successful raid team.
Young Queens must prove themselves fit for the role of Queen by then performing a number of successful strikes in Ijiraq territory. This is not to be confused with raids as the chances of success in a raid is so low that the hive would literally be wasting queens to be and the hive would have no queen thus killing the hive.

Public Relations:
Celestia and this hive do not have the best relationship. Kapricia and her Changeling's do not trust that Celestia will not get involved once they claim this land in the name of Changeling's. They also see her and pony kind as cowards who would prefer to run from their conflicts then stand up and face them head on. Technically the ponies gave the Windigo's all this land and power so it is the ponies fault that this area is covered in ice.
They have some respect for the Yakyakistan's and approve of their noble strong but silent ways.
Pupa and Kapricia have a good connection although Kapricia's hive in general see the Warrior hive as Celestia's puppets (Celestia could ruin them whenever she wants they think) while Pupa's hive see the Security hive as nothing more than hired guns in some ways.
I think Tempest would get along with Kapricia a little more as Tempest would enjoy Kapricia's more stoic nature.
The Contemplation Hive and the Security Hive have a great bond together. Possibly the biggest bond out of any hive in the whole world. Each makes sure that the other is comfortable.
Most other hives see them as simply another military hive and treat them as such. Although the fact that the Changeling's can be purchased security can be beneficial to some hives. In particular if a member of a hive like the Artist hive was to become famous chances are they would pay out a Security Changeling to be their bodyguard. This way they can feel safe as they know the pony looking after them is also a Changeling. Princesses like Fluer Dis Lee however would probably not buy Security Changeling's as they would use their own hives security force if required. This is more for Changeling's who would not be worth the time of their hives security force but yet still wish for some kind of protection.

Historical Facts:
The Security hive believe in a homeland for all Changeling’s and have been attempting to claim the old Equestrian Kingdom for millennia. They convinced the contemplation hive to join them after the discovery of rich mineral deposits.
Kapricia is no ordinary queen though for she has completed a raid.
One day with a team of six others she snuck out of the hive and traveled to the Vault of Ice. While she lost all but one other comrade (Who has since died of old age) she was successful and emerged victorious with the Alicorn Amulet. Sadly the Alicorn Amulet was stolen during its delivery to the Equestrian empire afterwards.

Extra Points of Interest:
During the Millennia in which the Ijiraq have held onto their claim there are some locations that the Ijiraq guard fiercely. The Security Changeling's identify each of the key locations by differing terms such as Vaults and Lairs. Within these treasures ancient items of vast power are held or key rulers of Ijiraq's are located. One such item included the Alicorn Amulet.
